Members of the Tybee Beautification Association
entertained the employees of the Tybee Island
Department of Public Works with a luncheon at
the Community House on the 6th of May. This was
just their way of saying "Thank You" to these
men and women for all that they do to keep Tybee
running smoothly. These are the employees who
fix the broken water and sewer pipes, mow the
parks and right-of-ways, empty the trash cans on
the beach and parking lots everyday, plant trees
and shrubs, and many other duties that are too
numerous to mention. The Public Works Department
operates seven days a week. This year a special
thanks goes to the workers who planted the
additional palm trees on Tybrisa and helped TBA
members get flowering plants in the planters on
very short notice.
