Record crowds showed up at both of our Beach Sweeps of 2006. More than 300 volunteers turned out at each event--the first held in the Spring and the second held in the Fall.

Thanks to all the students, teachers and community members who supported the efforts. GREAT JOB!

Also, thanks to "Hands On Savannah" and the Tybee IGA for generous donations of hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies to feed the crowds after their work.

We'll keep you updated on the Beach Sweeps of 2007--and hopefully we can set new records for turnouts next year!

The Tybee Beautification Association, Inc. wants to thank the area businesses listed below that have sponsored the Beach Sweeps in September and April. With the support of these businesses, as well as, Tybee City Council, and Tybee residents, Tybee Beautification is making a difference. Businesses will receive two complimentary T-shirts with their sponsorship, and these will be delivered by Tybee Beautification members as soon as they arrive. We are asking all businesses to participate in the Beach Sweep and wear their T-shirts on the 20th of September to show their involvement in this worthwhile community project.
